Star For App Dev ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Tooly - Developer Toolkit mobile application ("Tooly", "the App").
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Tooly.
By using Tooly, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Our Privacy Approach
Tooly is designed as an offline-first developer toolkit.
The core developer tools are designed to process your input directly on your device without requiring you to upload your source code, documents, or tool input to a server operated by Star For App Dev.
Tooly does not operate a developer-owned backend for processing your developer content.
However, Tooly uses third-party services such as Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising and consent management. These services may process certain information as described below.
3. Information Processed Locally
Depending on the features you use, Tooly may process information locally on your device, including:
- Source code
- JSON
- XML
- HTML
- CSS
- SQL
- Text
- URLs
- JWT data
- Encoded or decoded content
- Hash input
- Regular expressions
- Color values
- Timestamps
- Generated passwords
- Generated UUIDs
- QR code content
- Files selected by you
- Other developer-related content entered into the App
This information is processed locally for the functionality of the relevant tools.
We do not intentionally upload this content to a Star For App Dev server.
4. Files and Documents
Tooly allows you to import and export files using Android's system file picker.
You may choose files such as:
- JSON
- XML
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
- Kotlin
- Java
- Python
- SQL
- Markdown
- Text
- YAML
- CSV
- Other supported text-based files
Files are accessed only when you explicitly select them through the Android file picker or perform an action that requires access.
Tooly does not intentionally upload your selected files to a Star For App Dev server.
You remain responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to access and process any files you use with the App.
5. Code Editor
Tooly provides a local code editor for supported developer files.
The code editor may process:
- Source code
- Text
- Configuration files
- Structured data
- Other supported documents
Editing, formatting, validation, searching, and related operations are designed to occur locally on your device.
Your source code is not intentionally transmitted to a Star For App Dev backend.
6. QR Code Scanner
Tooly provides a QR code scanner.
Camera access is required only when you use the QR Scanner feature.
The camera permission is not required for the general developer tools.
QR scanning is designed to process camera images locally on your device.
We do not intentionally upload QR scanner camera frames to a Star For App Dev server.
QR codes may contain URLs, text, contact information, Wi-Fi information, telephone numbers, or other data.
Tooly does not automatically open URLs, send messages, make phone calls, connect to Wi-Fi networks, or perform other external actions from a scanned QR code.
Such actions require an explicit user action.
7. QR Codes From Gallery
The QR Scanner may allow you to select an image from your device using the Android system file picker.
The selected image is processed locally for QR code detection.
The image is not intentionally uploaded to a Star For App Dev server.
8. Clipboard
Tooly provides copy and paste functionality.
Tooly does not intentionally monitor or continuously read your clipboard.
Clipboard information may be accessed when you explicitly use a copy or paste-related action provided by Android or the App.
Clipboard contents are not intentionally uploaded to a Star For App Dev server.
We recommend that you avoid keeping highly sensitive information in your clipboard longer than necessary.
9. Password Generator
Tooly includes a password generator.
Generated passwords are created locally on your device.
Passwords are not intentionally uploaded to a Star For App Dev server.
You should not use the App to store passwords or other authentication credentials.
10. JWT Decoder
Tooly may allow you to decode JWT content locally.
JWT decoding does not mean that the App verifies the authenticity or cryptographic signature of the token unless explicitly stated by the relevant feature.
Users should avoid entering sensitive authentication tokens into third-party applications unless they understand the associated risks.
Tooly does not intentionally transmit JWT content to a Star For App Dev server.
11. Favorites, History and Preferences
Tooly may store certain application preferences and non-sensitive metadata locally on your device.
Examples may include:
- Favorite tools
- Recently used tools
- Recent file metadata
- Theme preference
- Editor preferences
- Other application settings
Where implemented, this information is stored locally using Android on-device storage mechanisms.
Tooly does not use a developer-owned cloud database for these preferences.
12. Sensitive Developer Content
Tooly may be used to process potentially sensitive information such as:
- API keys
- Authentication tokens
- Passwords
- JWTs
- Source code
- Private documents
- Configuration data
We strongly recommend that you do not enter sensitive credentials into any application unless necessary.
Tooly is designed not to intentionally send this content to a Star For App Dev server.
The application also does not intentionally log sensitive tool content such as passwords, tokens, private source code, or QR contents.
13. Advertising
Tooly is supported by advertising.
We use Google Mobile Ads / AdMob to provide advertisements.
Because advertising services are provided by a third party, Google and its advertising technology may process certain information from your device and your interaction with the App.
Depending on applicable settings, consent, region, and advertising configuration, information processed by advertising services may include information such as:
- IP address
- Device or advertising identifiers
- App interaction information
- Diagnostic information
- Advertising-related information
- General device information
Google's current Android Mobile Ads documentation states that its SDK may automatically collect and share information such as IP address, user product interactions, diagnostic information, and device/account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes.
The precise information processed can vary depending on the SDK version, configuration, advertising partners, user settings, and applicable laws.
14. Google AdMob
Advertising in Tooly is provided using Google Mobile Ads services.
Google may process information to:
- Deliver advertisements
- Measure advertising performance
- Prevent fraud and abuse
- Improve advertising services
- Support advertising functionality
Google states that data transmitted by its Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS.

15. Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
Tooly uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage privacy and advertising consent where applicable.
UMP may display a consent interface to users in regions where consent or privacy choices are required.
The App may also provide a Privacy Options feature allowing users to review or change applicable advertising privacy choices.
Google's documentation explains that publishers using AdMob must provide appropriate disclosures and obtain consent where required under Google's EU User Consent Policy, including requirements applicable in the EEA and UK.

Depending on your location, consent choices, applicable laws, and advertising configuration, advertisements may be:

The availability and behavior of advertising may vary depending on your consent choices and applicable regulatory requirements.
You can use the available Privacy Options within Tooly to manage applicable advertising privacy choices.
17. Your Privacy Choices
Depending on your location and applicable requirements, you may have choices regarding advertising and the processing of information.
Tooly may provide:

where the Google consent management interface is available.
You may also manage certain advertising identifier controls through Android device settings.
18. Internet Access
The core developer tools are designed to work offline.
Tooly may use network connectivity for third-party services such as:
- Advertising
- Consent management
- Related third-party service functionality
If network connectivity is unavailable, advertising may not be available.
Core offline developer functionality is designed to continue operating without an internet connection.
19. Data Sharing
Star For App Dev does not intentionally sell your source code, documents, passwords, JWTs, QR images, or tool input to third parties.
However, third-party services integrated into the App may process certain device, advertising, diagnostic, or interaction information as necessary to provide their services.
In particular:

may process information for advertising, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention as described in Google's documentation.
The actual data handling of third-party services is governed by their respective policies and configurations.
20. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the application and minimize unnecessary data handling.
Tooly is designed to process core developer content locally where technically appropriate.
We do not intentionally upload user source code or files to a Star For App Dev backend.
However, no software or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should avoid entering extremely sensitive information into any application unless necessary.
21. Data Retention
Tooly is designed to minimize retention of user content.
Certain non-sensitive application information may remain locally on your device, such as:
- Favorites
- Recent tool metadata
- Recent file metadata
- Application preferences
- Editor preferences
User-generated tool content is not intentionally stored on a Star For App Dev server.
Third-party advertising and consent services may retain or process information according to their own policies, technical requirements, and applicable laws.
22. Data Deletion
Because Tooly does not provide a user account or developer-owned cloud database, there is no Star For App Dev online account containing your Tooly documents that requires account deletion.
Local application data may generally be removed by:
- Clearing the application's storage through Android settings, or
- Uninstalling Tooly from your device.
Some information processed by third-party services may be subject to those providers' own retention and deletion practices.
23. No User Account
Tooly does not require users to create an account to use the core developer tools.
We do not intentionally create a Star For App Dev cloud profile for users of the App.
